Ajman: Two Emirati men and 11 Asian workers were rescued in the Masfout area of Ajman following heavy rains on Wednesday.

Ajman Police rescued the two men with the help of residents after their car was swept into Masfout valley, said Brigadier Shaikh Sultan Bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, commander-in-chief of Ajman Police.

Police also helped passengers from 16 vehicles after they were caught in flooded valleys in Masfout and Mazeria areas. Eleven workers were rescued after becoming trapped in the floods.

“Police intensified their effort into rescuing the residents of the affected area from flooding in valleys of Masfout and Mazeria area which resulted due to heavy rains accompanied with strong winds,” said Brigadier Al Nuaimi.
