Dubai: One person died and 17 others were injured after the ceiling of a mosque under construction collapsed in Zayed City in the Western Region, police said on Saturday.
Police described the dead victim as Asian, and added that an Arab was among those injured in the incident.
Colonel Ajeel Ali Abdullah, Director of the Western Region’s Police Department, said that the ceiling caved while the workers were pouring concrete for the roof.
The ceiling of a mosque under contruction in the Western Region collapsed on Saturday, killing one person and injuring 17 other people.
