Dubai: A truck carrying watermelons overturned on Al Ittihad Road on Tuesday morning, caused serious traffic jams.
The truck overturned in the Deira City Centre tunnel, near Al Serkal building in Al Garhoud bridge direction.
The accident caused tailbacks all the way to Sharjah.
Colonel Jamal Al Bannai, Acting Director of Dubai Traffic Police, said the accident led to the closure of the tunnel from 10am to 12.15pm.
There were no injuries, said Colonel Al Bannai.
