Dubai: Four people died when the Ferrari they were travelling in hit a curb and split in half after smashing into a lamp post.
The accident took place near Jumeirah Lake Towers at about 12.40am on Sunday, according to Colonel Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, Director of Dubai Traffic Police.
"We received a report of an accident on Al Sarayat road near Jumeirah Lake Towers, where a car swerved, hit the curb and the driver lost control and hit a lamp post," Col Al Mazroui said.
On impact, the vehicle was cut in half and all four passengers were flung out of the car. All four died.
A previous report had stated that three people had been travelling in the car when it crashed.
One of the victims was Canadian boxer Cody Nixon, according to reports in Toronto.
