Police identify body as that of 65-year-old Asian man; no foul play seen
Fujairah: The body of a 65-year-old man was found floating off Rol Dadna beach in Fujairah last Thursday.
Brigadier Mohammad Ghanem Al Kaabi, Commander-in-Chief of the Fujairah Police, told Gulf News that police operation room received call a round 2.30 pm saying a dead body was floating near the beach behind Radisson hotel in Rol Dadna in Dibba Fujairah.
The body was retrieved and sent for an autopsy to determine the cause of death, he said.
Brigadair Al Kaabi said the deceased was an Asian man and has been identified as A.A.K.. There were no signs of foul play on the body.
Initial investigation revealed that the death was a result of drowning incident, Brig. Al Kaabi said.
His car was found parked beside the road near the beach and inside there were his official documents and his ID, which helped police to identify the deceased.
Brigadair Al Kaabi said that the deceased was a Dubai resident.
Police investigation is ongoing.
