Dubai: An Asian man died and another sustained moderate injuries when a vehicle and a cement mixer got into an accident on Mohammad Bin Zayed road.
Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazroui, director of traffic department at Dubai Police, said the accident occurred at 07.38pm on Sunday near Jebel Ali police station (towards Abu Dhabi).
“The 24-year-old cement mixer driver caused the accident. He failed to maintain safe distance between the vehicles. Two people were trapped in the car,” Brigadier Al Mazroui said.
One was killed and the second rushed to Rashid hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Brigadier Al Mazroui urges drivers to be careful on highways and leave enough distance between vehicles.
