Sharjah:

Sharjah Police are investigating the death of a 22-year-old man who drowned in a swimming pool of a residential building here, an officer told Gulf News. The victim lived in the building his family.

The incident took place on Wednesday evening just before iftar at Al Nahda Plaza.

Shortly after the police operation room received a call at 6.45pm, an ambulance and paramedics team rushed to the spot.

The Pakistani man who was identified O.K. was pronounced dead on arrival at Kuwaiti Hospital.

A medical report stated the cause of death was failure of circulatory and respiratory systems caused by drowning, resulting in lack of oxygen in his brain. Staff at the building were being questioned by Buhairah Police officers.
