One person died and 61 were injured in a 127-car pile-up on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai highway. Police said heavy fog and speeding were responsible for the crashes that happened across a 2kim-stretch of the highway between Sahama and Ghantoot.

Three women were killed and seven others injured in an accident in the Liwa road towards Madinat Zayed caused by a burst car tyre.
