Ajman: A huge fire broke out at a shopping centre in Ajman on Sunday morning.
Lieutenant Colonel Ra’ad Obaid Al Zaabi, Deputy Director of the Civil Defence Centre, said the fire erupted at Al Hout Supermarket at around 6.40am.
There were no reports of casualties.
Firefighters from Ajman, Sharjah and Umm Al Quwain arrived to contain the blaze and prevent it from spreading to nearby premises.
“We immediately took the necessary measures to prevent the fire from spreading,” he said.
Ajman Civil Defence along with Ajman Police controlled the movement of traffic near the shopping centre.
Lt. Col. Al Zaabi said police were working to keep the area for emergency crew to do their work easily.
