Ras Al Khaimah/Sharjah:

A fire broke out on Tuesday evening in five caravans at a construction site in the Al Dheit area of Ras Al Khaimah without causing any injuries.

Civil Defence response teams managed to contain the fire once all the workers were evacuated.

The fire caused damages to the content of the caravans’ two warehouses, security guard room and two offices.

No casualties were reported so far.

Forensic experts are investigating the reason for the fire.

Meanwhile, in Sharjah on the same day a fire broke out in Al Qadissyah residential building — block B, which is located in the Al Nahda area.

The fire started at the electricity room at a round 11.30pm and it was minor, according to Sharjah Civil Defence, which managed to put out the fire in a short time.

Residents were evacuated as a precautionary measure.
