Ras Al Khaimah: A 25-year-old Emirati youth was killed on Thursday morning after his car rammed into a truck on Al Saadi road in Ras Al Khaimah, RAK Police said

Colonel Ali Saeed Elkum, Head of the Traffic and Patrols Department at RAK Police said the victim identified F. N .J. died instantly when he rammed into the back of a truck driven by 39-year-old Asian man identified as A. K .K.

The police operation room received a call at around 6.15am reporting the incident .

Police patrols and paramedics rushed to the scene of the incident upon receiving the report.

The Emirati motorist was pronounced dead at the scene of the incident while the truck driver suffered no injuries.

Col. Elkum said the initial investigations showed the accident occurred due to lack of space between the Emirati’s vehicle and the truck.

Col. Elkum appealed to drivers to avoid tailgating and abide by traffic laws, while paying attention to the road in order to avoid such accidents.
