Dubai: The General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments of Dubai Police has set the visiting hours for detainees and inmates during the Eid Al Fitr holiday.
The visiting hours will be divided into two shifts: the morning shift will be for men and the afternoon shift for women.
For inmates in building numbers 1 and 2, the visiting hours for male inmates will be from 8.30am to 11am, and for women inmates of all nationalities, they will be from 2.30pm to 5pm.
For minor inmates and for Emirati and Arab male inmates, the visiting hours on the first fay of Eid will be from 8.30am to 11am, and for Emirati and Arab women inmates, they will be from 2.30pm to 5pm.
The second day of Eid will be for other nationalities and will have the same timings.
Brigadier Ali Al Shamali, director of the General Department of Punitive and Correctional Establishments, said the administration is keen to make sure that the inmates get a chance to communicate with their families.
He added that the administration made sure that the visiting hours chosen were suitable for all.
