Construction worker falls to death in Sharjah

Sharjah: A Bangladeshi worker died after falling from a building under construction in Al Majaz area of Sharjah on Wednesday, an official at Sharjah Police told Gulf News.

The accident took place on Wednesday at 1.30pm

Workers at the site reported the incident to the police operation room.

The 30-year-old worker was identified as M.R.M. The worker was pronounced dead at the site, police said

Paramedics transferred the body to Kuwaiti Hospital and then to the forensic laboratory for an autopsy.

The case is with Al Buhairah police station for further investigations and to find out whether it was a suicide or an accident

Police are urging construction companies to ensure that safety measures are in place at work sites in order to avoid similar accidents.
