Dubai: Dubai Police have ruled out foul play in the death of a British woman who fell from the sixth-floor balcony of her apartment in Dubai.

Police said the woman, who worked as a flight attendant, may have committed suicide but no official ruling on the cause of death has been made until a full investigation is completed.

Police said the 32-year-old woman lives in a building on Mankhool Road and was spotted dead on the road under the building by the watchman.

“The woman was drunk when she fell from the balcony of her apartment,” police told Gulf News.

The police official said that the incident happened at 4am on Monday.

Police reached the area and primary investigation revealed that the woman was drunk when she fell.

Police said that the woman’s movements earlier in the day were tracked and they learned that she spent time in a hotel and is believed to have consumed alcohol before leaving the establishment with a man they identified as her boyfriend.

Police said the woman stayed a short time with her boyfriend at his apartment in the same area and then went home to her own apartment.

Police added soon after the woman fell from the balcony of the apartment.

“The women was living alone in the house,” police said.

Police said that the body was taken to the Forensics Medicine Lab at the General Department of Criminal Evidence to determine the cause of death.

Police said that the initial investigation shows there is no suspicion of criminal action and that the woman may have committed suicide immediately after she went to her apartment.
