A UN commission says it won't publish the names of the suspected war criminals
Geneva: A UN commission tasked with probing the massive human rights abuses in Syria said Monday it would not publish the names of the suspected war criminals.
"The Commission considers it improper to publicly release the names due to the lower standard of proof employed by commissions of inquiry as compared to a court of law," the head of the United Nations' Independent Commission of Inquiry (CoI) on Syria, Paulo Sergio Pinheiro, told diplomats gathered in Geneva.
Details to come.
