Mogadishu: Somali gunmen released a Kenyan university lecturer after abducting him in the capital Mogadishu last week, a university staff member said on Friday.
The source said that Nyandusi Matundura is in a Mogadishu hotel and is on his way to Kenya.
It was not clear if the gunmen were paid a $100,000 ransom demanded for Matundura.
"He was treated well and is in good condition," the staff member said.
Three assailants abducted Matundra 10 days ago after bundling him into a car waiting to take him home from the Mogadishu University campus.
