The chairman of El Wak in Somalia's Gedo region, Shaikh Hassan Hussein, said: "Well-armed men kidnapped two white nuns.''
“They also hijacked several cars.We do not know where they have gone. We don't know who exactly they were, but we can call them Somali bandits," he added.
He had no other immediate details and Kenyan security officials in the region could not be reached for comment.
