A Jordanian ship carrying aid has been hijacked off the coast of Somalia, officials said.
Mogadishu: A Jordanian ship carrying aid has been hijacked off the coast of Somalia, officials said.
The Victoria was carrying 4,000 tonnes of sugar donated by Denmark when it was seized on Saturday.
There were 12 crew members onboard the ship, which is reportedly heading north.
Jordanian Transport Minister Alaa Al Batayneh said Jordan was working with the Danish embassy in Mogadishu to release the crew and ship.
