Thousands turn out at Gaza funeral of Reuters cameraman

Gaza City: Three thousand Palestinians marched in the streets of Gaza in an emotional funeral procession for a Reuters TV cameraman killed during clashes between Palestinian fighters and Israeli troops.

Marchers waved Palestinian flags and carried small posters of 23-year-old Fadel Shana.

His body was wrapped in a bloodied Palestinian flag. Fellow journalists carried his broken camera and bloodstained flak jacket.

Later, the body was taken to Shana's hometown of Khan Younis in southern Gaza.
