Nablus: Five Palestinian villagers were hurt after a clash with Jewish settlers and Israeli troops, according to media reports on Saturday.
The confrontation erupted late on Friday near the Jewish settlement of Yitzhar in the West Bank.
The military said the incident began after Yitzhar residents saw several Palestinians walking toward the settlement and suspected they were trying to attack the settlement.
Later, about two dozen settlers, some masked and armed, walked from Yitzhar toward the Palestinian village of Orif, firing bullets and throwing rocks, villagers said.
