Jerusalem: An Israeli police officer died on Wednesday of wounds sustained in a Jerusalem shooting attack two weeks ago, a police spokesman said.
A gunman, who police believe was a Palestinian, shot and wounded two policemen guarding a gate to Jerusalem's walled Old City on July 11 in an incident Israel described as a "terrorist attack." The gunman escaped.
A police spokesman said David Shriki, who was shot in the head, had died from his injuries.
