Ramallah: Israeli bulldozers demolished two houses in the occupied East Jerusalem on Monday rendering 13 members of Palestinian families homeless.
The familes are now waiting for the international charities to provide them with tents.
The municipal machinary, escorted by police, border security and army forces demolished the house of Fawaz Mohammad Hasounah at the Shufat neighbourhood without giving the family a chance to clear their furniture and belongings.
Hasounah told Gulf News that he was shocked because he had not received a demolition notice from the Municipality.
Also Monday, Mohammad Samarah's home in Beit Hanina of the occupied East Jerusalem was also demolished.
Samarah is a sick unemployed man with a wife and four children.
Eleven houses were demolished in the holy city this year.
