Gaza City: The Israeli army said it has carried out airstrikes on a number of sites in the southern Gaza Strip in response to militant rocket fire on Israel in recent days.
Palestinian medical officials reported no injuries or deaths.
The Gaza-Israel border has remained relatively quiet since the end of Israel's offensive against the coastal strip's Hamas rulers last winter.
The army said Gaza militants have fired more than 20 rockets and mortars at Israel since the start of the year.
On Tuesday, a militant group called Ansar Al Sunna said it had fired a rocket at Israel the night before and another two days earlier. Neither caused injuries or deaths.
