Gaza: Israeli missile strikes slammed into the office of the prime minister of Hamas-ruled Gaza early morning on Sunday, the latest in a string of attacks that have left many Palestinians dead.
Ismail Haniya's office was unoccupied at the moment, but the attack, which slightly wounded five people, suggested that Israel holds Gaza's Islamic militant rulers responsible for the ongoing violence.
Negotiations have currently been put on hold because of the continuing violence, which resulted in the highest single-day death toll of 54 since fighting started in 2000 , which some moderate Palestian leaders have called a “holocaust''.
