Investors pledge $1.4b for Palestinians, says Fayyad
Delegates at a conference in Bethlehem this week pledged to invest $1.4 billion in Palestinian business projects, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Friday.
Bethlehem: Delegates at a conference in Bethlehem this week pledged to invest $1.4 billion in Palestinian business projects, Prime Minister Salam Fayyad said on Friday.
Fayyad said he expected investment in the projects to create up to 35,000 jobs.
Most of the projects will be in the occupied West Bank.
Fayyad and President Mahmoud Abbas hosted the conference to try to boost private investment in the Palestinian economy.
