Gaza: Hundreds of Palestinians gathered in the Gaza port on Thursdy in solidarity with the freedom flotilla that has been held by Greece from sailing to the besieged enclave.

Among those gathered were several disabled children who were expecting wheelchairs and other crucial medical supplies from the flotilla.

"The ships carry hope for the disabled children. It is shameful that the authorities have prevented the aid to be delivered," Ayad Yagi, head of a medical relief organisation said.

"We will keep protesting until the ships are allowed to sail to Gaza," he added. The second international flotilla which contains nine ships and hundreds of crew members and human rights activists from around the world. It carries up to 10,000 tonnes of aid, but until now is still being prevented from departing the Greek ports.
