Beirut: A powerful snow storm hit Lebanon on Monday, bringing with it heavy rainfall, piercing winds and harsh thunderstorms.
Southern regions, where temperatures have fallen considerably, have also experienced hailstorms.
Weather forecasters expect the storm to fade by Thursday.
Authorities have taken protective measures to ensure safety of residents.
Late last month, Lebanon was gripped by a violent snowstorm that caused severe agricultural damage and left many residents without power and communication lines.
