North Korea welcomes deal to end Lebanon crisis
North Korea "hails the important agreement reached to settle the political crisis in Lebanon", a foreign ministry spokesman said on Sunday.
Pyongyang: North Korea "hails the important agreement reached to settle the political crisis in Lebanon", a foreign ministry spokesman said on Sunday.
The official Korean Central News Agency quoted the spokesman as saying that the North will support the "just measures and efforts of the Arab countries and people to settle the Middle East issue."
Lebanese lawmakers are due to elect army chief Michel Sulaiman as president on Sunday.
The deal was reached with the help of Arab mediators in Qatar, putting an end to the political crisis that had paralysed the country.
