Mousa secures second Lebanese opposition meeting

Beirut: Arab League Secretary-General Amr Mousa has secured a second meeting on Monday in less than 24 hours between Lebanese opposition leaders, in his attempt to remove hindrances to the peace bid to end the ongoing political crisis that has left Lebanon without a president for three months.
Mousa brought together former president Amin Gemayel, head of the ruling majority parliament party Sa'ad Hariri and Hezbollah representative Michel Aoun in a lengthy meeting in Beirut on Sunday that did not result in a breakthrough.
However, some conditions between the rival parties were set for consideration before Monday's meeting.
These latest mediatory meetings hope to focus on the implementation of a three point Arab plan to solve the political crisis, only two days ahead of parliamentary elections of a the new president.
