Lebanon says Berlusconi's rules of engagement dangerous
Italian Prime Pinister Silvio Berlusconi's rules of engagement for Italian troops in Lebanon are "most dangerous", Lebanese government sources said on Thursday.
Beirut: Italian Prime Pinister Silvio Berlusconi's rules of engagement for Italian troops in Lebanon are "most dangerous", Lebanese government sources said on Thursday.
Berlusconi said on Wednesday that he would be reviewing the rules of engagement of Italian troops serving with a UN peace mission in Lebanon.
The newly elected prime minister's statement was "most dangerous that he isn't satisfied about the current situation for these troops", the sources said.
Italian troops patrol Lebanon's coastline to prevent Iranian weapons from reaching Hezbollah.
