Beirut: The son of a Lebanese former president and Phalange party leader has called for justice for two officials shot dead in a drive-by shooting on Sunday.
"We demand that the government and the security forces put their hands on the criminals as soon as possible," said Sami Gemayel, the son of Amin Gemayel.
Unidentified gunmen in a speeding car opened fire at Phalange officials Nasri Marouni and Salim Assi, killing them and wounding three other people.
The shooting in the Christian town of Zahle in the Bekaa Valley occurred after Gemayel left party headquaters.
Lebanese troops have been deployed in Zahle to search for the gunmen, security sources said.
