Beirut: At least 10 people were injured in a bomb explosion in the capital on Monday evening following clashes that killed 4 people at a Palestinian refugee camp.

Police reports said that the bomb exploded under an empty bus close to a commercial centre and a church in Bouchrieh, a residential and industrial area.

The explosion came after clashes between the military and the Jund Al Sham group at the Ain Al Hilweh refugee camp south of Beirut. Eight people were hurt in the firefight.

At the Nahr Al Bared refugee camp in northern Lebanon, the military siege on the militant Fatah Al Islam group continued.

The group refuses to give up and has said it will fight to the death.
