Jailed Jordanian editor freed on bail
A Jordanian editor charged with harming national unity was released on bail on Sunday, a judicial official said.
Amman: A Jordanian editor charged with harming national unity was released on bail on Sunday, a judicial official said.
Fayez Ajrashi, editor of Al Ekhbariya weekly, was released on bail of five thousand dinars ($7,000), the official said.
Ajrashi was charged on Tuesday with "sowing discord and inflaming sectarian strife" after writing an article criticising the governor of Amman.
The journalist faces up to five years in jail if convicted.
