Jordan: Saddam Hussain's daughter has asked that his body be buried in Yemen, a source close to the family said on Saturday.
Saddam was executed in the early morning of Saturday after being convicted of crimes against humanity in the 1982 massacre of 148 Shiites in Dujail.
The source said that Saddam's daughter Raghd, who is exiled in Jordan, asked for the burial in Yemen, which will be temporary "until Iraq is liberated and [Saddam] can be reburied in Iraq."
Defence lawyer Issam Jhazzawi said Saddam's family members "are praying for him every minute and are calling on God that He let his soul rest in peace among the martyrs."
