Ankara: Turkey's military says its warplanes have bombed 21 Kurdish rebel targets both in northern Iraq and southeast Turkey.
It was the fourth air raid on suspected Kurdish rebel positions in response to the killing of 17 soldiers at a military outpost four days ago.
A military statement said the warplanes attacked the targets in Iraq's Avasin Baysan region and on two mountains bordering Iraq early on Tuesday.
Parliament is scheduled to vote Wednesday on whether to extend by a year the military's authority to carry out operations in northern Iraq. The current mandate expires October 17.
