Baghdad: Police in the Iraqi town of Muqdadiyah have discovered a new mass grave containing 14 bodies close to another mass grave found last week, the US army said on Sunday.
The discovery near the town, north-east of Baghdad, came on Saturday.
The mass grave was only 100 metres away from another grave found on Thursday containing the corpses of 37 people.
The military said on Thursday the bodies appeared to have been in the grave for periods ranging from two to eight months, and some showed signs of torture.
