Baghdad: Iraqi prime Minister Nouri Al Maliki received on Saturday Abdullah Ebrahim Al Shehi, UAE Ambassador to Iraq.

Al Shehi conveyed the greetings of UAE President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum , Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai to the premier and people of Iraq.

The UAE Ambassador also delivered to Al Maliki a message from General Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, expressing his best wishes of security, peace and stability for Iraq and its people. In his message, Sheikh Mohamed hoped that peace, prosperity and welfare would prevail in Iraq.

Al Shehi reaffirmed the UAE's stance towards Iraq under the leadership of Shaikh Khalifa and UAE's keenness to consolidate the march of reconciliation and reconstruction in Iraq.

For his part,the Iraqi prime minister expressed his admiration at the profound ties between the two sisterly countries and UAE's leadership determination to boost bilateral contacts. He lauded the UAE leadership's support for attaining security and stability and building of Iraq.

He also praised the role played by the government and people of UAE in supporting
Iraq, hoping the other Arab countries to follow the UAE's suit.

He also commended the regular coordination between the two leaderships to enhance investment and security fields and their effort to create trade environment between the private sector in both countries.
