Iraqi president's wife survives bomb attack
Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's wife escaped death on Sunday when a roadside bomb exploded near her convoy in central Baghdad.

Baghdad: Iraqi President Jalal Talabani's wife escaped death on Sunday when a roadside bomb exploded near her convoy in central Baghdad
Hero Ibrahim was heading to the National Theatre to attend a cultural festival when an improvised explosive device hit one of the vehicles in her convoy.
She was not hurt but four of her bodyguards, two Iraqi soldieres and two civilians were wounded in the attack, the president's office said in a statement.
Police said the bomb targeted a military convoy.
