A vehicle driven by a suicide bomber blew up near a patrol base in Iraq on Sunday, killing one US soldier and wounding 18 others, US forces said.
Baghdad: A vehicle driven by a suicide bomber blew up near a patrol base in Iraq on Sunday, killing one US soldier and wounding 18 others, US forces said.
Two Iraqi contractors were also wounded in the attack in Kirkuk province, north of Baghdad, the US military said in a statement.
The casualties were taken to a military hospital, the military said.
Iraqi police and medical sources said five civilians were among those wounded in the attack.
