Iraq media union leader escapes assassination attempt
The chief of the Iraqi Journalists' Union survived an assassination attempt on Saturday after a bomb exploded outside his office in Baghdad.
Baghdad: The chief of the Iraqi Journalists' Union survived an assassination attempt on Saturday after a bomb exploded outside his office in Baghdad.
Muayyad Al Lami was injured in the explosion and was rushed to hospital, aides said.
Three of Al Lami's guests were also wounded in the attack.
The latest bombing came a week after four Iraqi television crew members were killed in Mosul by unidentified attackers.
