Unidentified gunmen killed senior Interior Ministry official Brigadier-General Adel Abbas on Sunday, police said.
Baghdad: Unidentified gunmen killed a senior Interior Ministry official on Sunday, police said.
Brigadier-General Adel Abbas was killed in the drive-by shooting, along with his driver.
Meanwhile, bombings across Iraq have killed at least six people and left 29 others injured on Sunday.
A suicide truck bomb killed three people and wounded 23 when it exploded at a police checkpoint in the northern city of Kirkuk.
In Diyala province, a roadside bomb struck a minibus, killing three occupants and wounding six others, police said.
