Female suicide bomber kills shaikh in Iraqi town
A suicide attack near the house of a tribal shaikh northeast of Baghdad claimed the life of the shaikh and two other people, provincial police said.
Baghdad: A suicide attack near the house of a tribal shaikh northeast of Baghdad claimed the life of the shaikh and two other people, provincial police said.
Wearing an explosives belt, the female suicide bomber entered Shaikh Thaeir Ghadhban Al Karkhi's house in the mainly Sunni town of Kanaan, killing him, a child and a security guard.
Two other people were wounded in the attack, police said.
Female suicide bombers have been involved in at least 19 attacks or attempted attacks since the beginning of the war.
