Cairo: Egyptian police detained 10 members of the opposition Muslim Brotherhood in the Nile Delta after raids in the Dakahlia province on Saturday, police said.
An Interior Ministry spokesman said he had no information on the detentions.
The Egyptian government calls the Brotherhood an outlawed group but members hold a fifth of the seats in parliament.
The organisation operates openly within limits, although police often detain members for long periods without charges.
