Kuwait City: The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) has condemned the Syrian regime and its allies’ “continued barbaric bombardment” of the northern Syrian city of Aleppo, which has left hundreds of civilians either dead or injured.

The Kuwait News Agency, KUNA, said, “The GCC Member States denounce the heinous crimes committed against unarmed civilians of Aleppo,” GCC Secretary General, Abdul Latif Al Zayani, said. “These are crimes against humanity.”

He added that the GCC states are urging the United Nations Security Council and the countries brokering the recent ceasefire in Syria, to take action to stop such escalation.

Al Zayani blamed the Syrian regime and its supporters for the brutal attacks and air strikes on civilian targets in Aleppo.
