Somalia: The Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has begun the distribution of emergency relief aid to Somali families in Berbera, a city in the northwestern Berbera district of Somaliland.
This in line with the directives of President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, to help the Somali people and alleviate their sufferings.
A spokesperson of the Khalifa Foundation said as per the directives of the wise leadership, a total of 1,000 food baskets were distributed to the residents of two villages in the city of Berbera, which is part of an initiative to distribute 5,000 food baskets containing basic food items in various regions and villages of Berbera.
The beneficiaries expressed their appreciation for the UAE and its leadership.
