Ramallah: A ‘peace tent’ organised by the Israeli Women Wage Peace organisation has been slammed by the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) as a ‘normalisation’ of relations between Palestinians and Israelis.

Pictures released by media attending the event showed several Palestinian women dancing with Jewish women, although Gulf News could not independently verify under what circumstances the women were brought in.

Critics say attending such events is disrespectful to the suffering of the Palestinian people at the hands of the Israeli regime.

The PLFP has warned against the suspicious rise of ‘normalisation’ activities and called for Palestinian officials who encouraged Palestinian women to attend the event to be brought to justice.
