Ramallah: The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday expressed serious concern over the decision of the Government of the Central African Republic to cancel the scheduled football game between the Palestinian National Soccer team and the Central African soccer team in Palestine, on 17 November 2010, a date which was previously decided by FIFA.

In an official statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said the decision is a sign of deference to Israel, which illustrates the link between politics and sport.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said such incidents impede the path to peace in the region, which is supported by the International Community.
