Dubai: His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, left the UAE on Tuesday to lead a high-level delegation to the 28th Arab League Summit.

He was welcomed by Jordan's King Abdullah II upon landing at the Queen Alia International Airport in Amman.

The Arab League leaders' meeting in Amman, which kicks off on Wednesday, is expected to address the many challenges facing the Arab world.

Shaikh Mohammad is leading a high-level delegation that includes Lieutenant General Shaikh Saif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Shaikh Abdullah Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Shaikha Lubna Al Qasimi, Minister of State for Tolerance, and Mohammad Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs and the Future.

The delegation also includes Sultan Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, Sultan Ahmad Al Jaber, Minister of State, Shaikh Ahmad Bin Saeed Al Maktoum, President of Dubai Civil Aviation and Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, Juma Mubarak Al Junaibi, UAE Ambassador to Egypt, and Bilal Rabee’ Bilal Al Budoor, UAE Ambassador to Jordan.

The leaders' 28th ordinary annual summit  will be be held in the Dead Sea region south of Amman.
