Yousuf re-elected chairman of UAE Journalists Association
The board also elected heads of the association's nine newly formed committees
Dubai: The Board of Directors of the UAE Journalists Association has re-elected Mohammad Yousuf as chairman of the association for the third time.
The board also selected Ali Abu Al Reesh as Deputy Chairman of the association, Mona Abu Samra as Secretary, and Mustafa Al Zarouni as Treasure.
The selections were made during the board's first meeting on Monday.
The board also elected heads of the association's nine newly formed committees. They include Ali Abu Al Reesh as head of the Membership Committee, Saeed Al Badi as head of the Training and Development Committee, Luluwa Thani as head of the Activities and Events' Committee in Dubai and Abdul Karim Al Senani as head of the the Activities and Events' Committee in Abu Dhabi.
Abdul Rahman Naqi has been elected as head of the association's Statute Amendment Committee, Mona Abu Samra as head of the Journalists Committee, Mustafa Al Zarouni as head of the Sport Committee, Ebrahim Al Rais as head of the Photography Committee and Mohammad Yousuf as head of the Freedom and Foreign Relations' committees.
The board thanked former board members for their efforts and contributions in the past years, and set February 14 for electing the administrative body of the association's branch in Abu Dhabi.
