Gulf News readers speak
Mohammad Salim, Publisher
I have been a regular visitor to the UAE for 24 years and have watched the progress of Gulf News. I like the newspaper's wide coverage of national news and the genuine problems of the common man, especially the expatriate. I would like to see more coverage about India and UAE local news.
E.A. Nizamuddin, Legal adviser
I have been reading Gulf News for five years. I first read the front page, then stocks, India pages and sport. My favourite section is business features. I would like to see more business features and more stock market news from India. I read the paper online when I am abroad.
Abdullah Mattar Al Mannaie, Director of an auction house
My favourite sections are business, classifieds and tourism. I would like to see more local news with a UAE identity. I have been reading Gulf News for 11 years. I first read business pages, local, region and classifieds.
Madurika Weninger, Head of chancery
My favourite sections are opinion and international pages. I believe Gulf News should give contact details for events in town. I would like to see more coverage of Sri Lanka. I have been reading the paper for two years. I read the front page first, then local and Asian pages.
I believe there should be more news on the Indian stocks. Gulf News is an excellent newspaper, but I would like to see more local and Indian news. I have been reading the paper for 12 years. I read the paper early in the morning at home and later in the office.
